Amidst the quests for alternative means of wellbeing, Rev Fr. (Dr.) Isaac Agu of the Catholic Diocese of Zaria proffered following Jesus committedly as the surest way to achieving restfulness in life.
The clergyman who made this known at the Mass he celebrated in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Samaru, Zaria, on Saturday, 24th February, 2024, leaned on the story of blind Bartimaeus (Mk.10:46-52) in assuring the faithful that God will unfailingly locate them wherever they are – if they serve Him faithfully there.“If you keep serving God where you are right now,” the priest told them, “He will locate you there.” After Jesus had restored Bartimaeus’ sight, the later followed him “on the way.”
Like Bartimaeus, God wants to restore your sight again. You do not need many words. Just follow Jesus. If you follow Him, the power of Satan over you will diminish. If you walk faithfully with Jesus, though enemies fight you on all sides, you shall prevail.Bartimaeus was by the road side at the time Jesus was walking and teaching in the city of Jericho.
He heard that Jesus was passing by and he cried out to him for help. Jesus said, ‘Call him!’ And they called him. Right now some of you are sitting by the side of the road and people may not regard you.
God is saying to you today, that your time has come. He will use that person talking you down to bring Good News to you. You shall be appointed where you were rejected. “All your disgrace is about to be rolled away.”Fr. Agu prayed for an end to the ugly stories in the lives and families of God’s people. He also prayed to God to restore harmony, joy and peace in families.
