Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has submitted the first batch of his cabinet nominees, comprising 18 commissioner-designates, to the Anambra State House of Assembly.
The submission marks a key step in the formation of his new administration’s executive council.
Earlier reports had indicated that the Governor was expected to release the list before the end of the week.
According to the Special Assistant to the Speaker on New Media, Franklin Osankwa, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has forwarded the nominees’ list to the Assembly’s screening committee for further legislative action.
A closer look at the list shows that only four former Commissioners from Soludo’s previous tenure were reappointed. They include Dr. Afam Obidike (Health), Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (Lands), Mr. Patrick Agba (Youth Development), and Dr. Law Mefor (Information).
Meanwhile, the list of Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Advisers is yet to be released.
