Dr. Anselm C. Onuorah, the Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, has proactively addressed pressing community issues in a day marked by community engagement and support. Chairman Onuorah tackled the ongoing erosion problem in Nsugbe and extended a helping hand to the local church, emphasizing his commitment to the community’s well-being.
The Obele Mmili bridge in Nsugbe, Anambra East, has been perilously threatened by erosion, exacerbated by heavy rainfall. In a resolute response, Chairman Onuorah visited one of the affected sites on 5 September, sending a clear signal that the local government is resolutely dedicated to promptly resolving this critical issue. During his inspection, he pledged to expedite work on the site, prioritizing the community’s welfare.
Later in the day, Chairman Onuorah paid a courtesy visit to The Rt Rev. Johnson N Ekwe, PhD, the Bishop of the Diocese of Niger West. Accompanied by Ven Emmanuel Ikechukwu Onovo and Ven Dr. I.I Ikele, Chairman Onuorah engaged in substantial discussions concerning community matters, with a particular focus on the recurring annual floods that are already affecting the region.
