The United Nigeria Airline has unveiled and dedicated two new aircrafts to God during the week.
The climax of the unveiling ceremony and dedication of the two newest additions to it’s growing fleet, the Boeing 737 800 NG aircraft named in honour of HRM Nnaemeka Achebe – Obi of Onitsha, and Prof. Chinua Achebe, was the blessing of the aircraft.
This significant moment saw guests join in unison to pray for safety in the skies, led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Izunna Okonkwo, PhD, assisted by Rev. Dr. Barr. JoeBen Onyia. The Chief Pilot of United Nigeria Airlines, Capt. Joan Obasi, also led the Captain’s Prayer, while Ms. Noni Obiora-Okonkwo delivered a scripture reading.
Through this solemn exercise, the aircraft were formally committed to the Almighty God and for the use of all travelers.
