Dr. Anselm C Onuorah, the Transition Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, embarked on a captivating and enlightening journey that spanned multiple African nations. His mission primarily revolved around attending the 5th Biannual African Philosophy World Conference, a prestigious gathering that united philosophical minds from various corners of Africa. The conference provided a profound platform for extensive discussions on African philosophical trajectories, with a specific emphasis on the theme, “Gender Dimensions of African Philosophy.”
From the vibrant streets of Enugu to the historical landscapes of Ethiopia and Uganda, Dr. Anselm ventured into an intellectual odyssey. The pinnacle of this remarkable gathering took place at Gulu University in Uganda, where philosophical luminaries congregated to delve deeply into the intricate dimensions of African philosophy.
Dr. Anselm described his week-long sojourn in Uganda as an experience of profound significance. Not only did it foster personal growth, but it also offered a unique opportunity to refine his leadership skills. Furthermore, it served as a global stage to explore investment prospects in Anambra East, as participants hailed from diverse parts of the world.
Upon his return to Nigeria, Dr. Anselm, accompanying the Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Barr. Patricia Igwebuike, and the Commissioner for Local Government, Community, and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, embarked on a 3-day working visit to the Lagos State Ministry of Transport. The primary aim of this visit was to gain comprehensive insights into the structural and operational aspects of Lagos State’s transport system.
This undertaking bears particular significance as Dr. Anselm leads the only Local Government in Anambra State with a recognized maritime unit. It underscores his unwavering commitment to exploring innovative solutions and embracing best practices to enhance the transport system within Anambra East Local Government Area.
