Dr. Anselm Onuorah, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, has received heartfelt praises from the Umueri Elders’ Forum. The forum recently paid a visit to the Council Headquarters in Otuocha to express their gratitude.
Led by Chairman Chief Ike Mokwugwo, the group extended their appreciation to Dr. Onuorah for his remarkable execution of various projects within their community. These projects included the successful repair of Ngene-Okwazu Bridge, ongoing erosion control efforts at Metchie Road in Umueri, the restoration of Oyi Bridge, and the resurfacing of the previously deteriorated section of Umueri-Nteje Road.
Dr. Onuorah, in response, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of the community throughout the execution of these projects. He also commended the President General of Umueri, Chief Amb. Johnny Metchie, as well as the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, His Royal Majesty Igwe Ben Emeka, for their cooperation, which facilitated the timely completion of the various initiatives.
The Chairman further extended his appreciation to the solution Governor, Prof Charles Soludo, and the Ministry of Local Government, Community, and Chieftaincy Matters for their invaluable assistance to the Local Government Administration in carrying out these projects.
In a similar vein, the Umueri General Assembly (UGA), Awka Branch, also visited Dr. Onuorah to express their gratitude for the infrastructural developments in Umueri Community and other areas under the Council’s jurisdiction. Comrade Chinedu Ekweonu, the Chairman of the Awka Branch of Umueri General Assembly, lauded the projects as unprecedented and encouraged Dr. Onuorah to continue his efforts without relenting.
The visit culminated in the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to the Council Chairman, recognizing his outstanding contributions.
