The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has reiterated his resolve to provide tight security in his constituency and the larger Anambra.
This comes as he assured that he would keep supporting security agencies to keep Anambra safe.
Ubah stated this while handing over 150 walkie-talkies, 100 units of High Definition Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, 100 solar-powered street lights, a walkie-talkie repeater and motorbikes to leaders of Ukpor Community at his Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi residence. Ukpor is in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.
Ubah who had also extended the gesture to other neighbouring communities like Nnobi, Awka-Etiti, Abatete, Enugwu-Agidi and Igboukwu, urged Ukpor residents to remain vigilant and reassured them that he would always do his best to support security outfits in communication and surveillance.
Responding, the President-General of Ukpor , Chief Izuchukwu Nwawulu, thanked Senator Ubah for what he described as his uncommon efforts to support security of life and property in Anambra South.
Nwawulu further commended the Senator for making the Senatorial District proud at the Red Chambers and prayed for more wisdom, divine guidance and protection upon him.
Also with the Ukpor community leaders at the event was the Minority Leader of the Anambra State Legislature and member representing Nnewi South 2 State Constituency, Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi.
