An end-of-year get together organised by the management of Trinitas Communications,publishers of Trinitas Newspapers,Archdiocese of Onitsha,for it’s staff on Sunday,ended on a joyous note as some of the staff were rewarded handsomely to encourage the entire workers put in more efforts towards the growth of the organisation.
Top among the rewarded staff is master Chisom Agu Odah who was voted the best staff of the year by the workers.
He got a cash reward package of N100,000(One hundred thousand Naira) as a prize for the best staff of the year 2024 while the Director of Trinitas Communications,Very Rev Fr Dr George Adimike, gave him a personal gift of N30,000(Thirty thousand Naira)in a show of appreciation.
The Deputy Director of Trinitas Communications and Deputy Editor of Trinitas Newspaper Rev Frs Vincent Chukwuka and Samuel Nwankwo also appreciated him with cash gifts of N20,000(Twenty thousand Naira)and N10,000(Ten thousand Naira) respectively.
Addressing the staff,the Director of Trinitas Communications Very Rev Fr Dr George Adimike,said the reward was to encourage members of the staff to do their best and be more productive.According to him,efforts were being made by the management of the organisation to come out with it’s best in 2025 and urged all the staff to put all hands on deck to achieve the set targets.
He announced that staff in other departments who performed well would also be rewarded shortly.
He commended the Deputy Director,Rev Fr Vincent Chukwuka for his doggedness and contributions towards moving the organisation forward and also gave kudos to the Deputy Editor Rev Fr Emmanuel Nwankwo for his contributions.
The event which was held at the office premises,Legion House,Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha,attracted the presence of the President of the Catholic Artistes and Entertainers Association of Nigeria (CAEAN),Mr Nlebedim Nnaemeka,the incumbent CYON President Mr Osorachukwu Okonkwo and former CYON chieftain,Mr Charles Anukwonke.In their contributions,they gave important insights on how to improve on objectives of Trinitas organisation.
Also present were journalists from Voice of Nigeria (VON)Awka,Core News online platform, representatives of the Catholic Media Practitioners (CAMPAN),Vanguard Newspapers among other guests.
In his closing remarks,the Director of Trinitas Communications,Rev Fr Dr George Adimike expressed gratitude to the Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke for providing enabling environment and support for progress of the organisation.
He announced to the excitement of the staff that the management was making effort to pay them 13th month salary of gratitude in addition to their December salary.
The staff and guests were entertained with brief musical chair competitions,concerts and general dance.
Each of the staff went home happily with a bag of rice after sumptuous varieties of food and drinks.
