Members of Block Rosary Crusade St Thomas Aquinas parish Transi Nkisi, GRA Onitsha last Saturday stormed Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Onitsha on pilgrimage mission.
The leader of the group Mr Michael Olisaemeka Okafor ( a senior seminarian) who spoke to Trinitas said the mission is to enrich the members with deep knowledge of the church and enculcate in them the core values of Church teachings.
He explained that the tour will expose the members to most of things they have been taught about the arrival of the early missionaries and the sacrifices they made to bring the faith in this part of the world, positing that the religious images and pictures they saw at Basilica will greatly motivate them to grow up with Catholic faith without abandoning it later in life.
While hyping on the importance of training up a child in a Block Rosary Crusade life, Okafor described rosary as life to live, positing that life of rosary will greatly mould the characters of children.
He urged parents who are resisting their children from attending Block Rosary activities to allow their wards to grow with the knowledge of the church activities for their greater future by joining others in Block Rosary activities and other church activities, belonging to church societies for higher spiritual growth.
Olisaemeka further thanked the parish priest Fr Stephen Okafor for his support to Block Rosary activities.
