Onitsha Archdiocesan Chancellor,Rev Fr Dr Emeka Aroh explains the purpose of attending Holy Masses

The Onitsha Archdiocesan Chancellor,Very Rev Fr Dr Prudentius Emeka Aroh,has explained the purpose of attending Holy Masses which according to him,many faithful have been wasting and ignorant of.
He enumerated four main purposes to include,Adoration, thanksgiving, forgiveness and petition.
Fr Emeka Aroh spoke as he was delivering a homily during an end of month Mass celebrated for the Archdiocesan Secretariat staff at the old Church building,Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha on Wednesday.
He pointed out that until the faithful embrace the real purpose of attending Holy Masses,they may have been wasting their time and not be able to derive full benefits of the Mass.
He commended staff of the Secretariat for their sacrifices and commitment to work and gave out financial tokens as incentives and appreciation to them.
Birthday celebrants which included Very Rev Fr Remigius Ikeche,the chief Celebrant at the mass,were honoured with cutting of a birthday cake.
