The Onitsha Archdiocesan Charismatic Renewal(CCRN)has ended it’s general annual 21 days prayer summit with the induction of over 700 new members on Sunday 24th September 2023.
The event which took place at the Victory Land of the Holy Spirit,Obosi started with a passionate call on the congregation by the outgoing chaplain,Rev Fr George Nzemuoba to remain steadfast in prayers towards a rich harvest of souls and blessings to the Charismatics body.
He reminded them that the point of entry into the heavenly race is not the determining factor in attaining heaven but the level of commitment,consistency and unflinching faith in God.
Earlier in his homily during the mass,a visiting priest from Awka Diocese, Rev Fr Ejike Okonkwo,reminded the charismatics that embracing and reading the Bible attracts miraculous favours spiritually and physically.
According to Fr Okonkwo,a measure of virtuousness is needed in christians for holiness to be achieved in addition to embracing the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit at all times.
Fr Ejike also ministered on the theme of the summit 2023 which is,”Conquering the Satanic Controlling Powers”.
In his contribution,the Onitsha Archdiocesan chairman of CCRN Bro Peter Nnalue urged the participants to keep hope alive in the face of all difficulties and hardship in the country.
One other speaker at the event is Bro Julius Aleve,who is the chairman of Iyiowa Regional Planning Committee of CCRN.
Meanwhile,the outgoing chaplain of CCRN Archdiocese of Onitsha Rev Fr George Nzemuoba has commended the Archbishop of Onitsha most Rev Valerian Okeke for providing a condusive environment for flourishing of the CCRN.He said that while he was ending his tenure,he would always remember the Archbishop in his prayers for good health and God’s blessings on his onerous task as the chief shepherd of the Archdiocese of Onitsha.
