The St Michael Subordinate Council,Fegge Onitsha has been commended for it’s rapid growth in recruitment of new members since it’s creation from the Fegge Subcouncil,Onitsha.
The commendation came as the chaplain of the Subcouncil Rev Fr Clement Obi was congratulating the three candidates who were successfully admitted into the Order at the recent admission excercise conducted by the Onitsha Metropolitan Council of the Knights of St Mulumba.
The three successful candidates are,Bros Eze Okwudili Joseph,Okafor Okwudili Julian and Valentine Okafor.
Rev fr Clement Obi charged the three successful candidates to be exemplary as good knights of the church and not to use their positions to intimidate others.
He commended the Grand Knight of the Subcouncil,Sir (Barr) Charles Orakwue for harvesting good candidates whose credibility is not in doubt.
In his remarks, the Grand Knight,Sir Barr Orakwue expressed gratitude to the chaplain and the Metropolitan officers for taking the Metro council to enviable level.
Bro Orakwue said his aim was to raise the membership beyond it’s present number of 30 members from where a new Subcouncil would be hopefully created.
He also thanked the Metropolitan Chaplain, very Rev Fr Dr George Adimike for identifying with the new candidates of the Subcouncil and affording them the privilege of posing for photographs with him at the St Joseph Cathedral,Ekwulobia, where new candidates were admitted from across the Metropolitan Council.
