-Anambra Residents Extol the Station for Marketing Quality Products

Excitement rented the air in Onitsha on Thursday, February 27, 2025, as the newly built Oluchukwu Oil and Gas station, located at No. 16 Bent Lane, Magazine Junction, Onitsha, was blessed and commissioned by the Archbishop of Onitsha, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, the Managing Director of the station, Rev. Fr. Remijius Ikeche, appreciated God for the giant stride the station had achieved by opening its third branch. He revealed that the station is making a significant difference in the oil sector.
“This is where you can get petroleum products such as PMS, DPK, etc., that are not adulterated at all. We are setting the pace in the oil sector in the South East,” Fr. Ikeche said.
Fr. Ikeche further praised the proprietor of the station, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, for his unflinching support and encouragement. He disclosed that through the stations, the Archbishop has provided jobs for hundreds of youth.
The Vice Chancellor of Onitsha Archdiocese, Very Rev. Fr. Basil Ekwunife, in his remarks, said that the existence of Oluchukwu Oil and Gas station is changing the conception about corruption in the oil and gas sector. He added that the station is sanitizing the system, restoring people’s confidence that they can still get quality products from untampered meters.
“In essence, Oluchukwu Oil and Gas is rejigging the system,” Fr. Ekwunife said.
Rev. Fr. Henry Charles Umelechi (Fr. Trueseries) in his contribution expressed great joy over the new station and commended them for supplying the public with quality products such as fuel, diesel, and kerosene at good prices. He urged them to sustain the tempo.
Sir Ikem Osanakpo, who graced the event, described the station as a landmark project capable of assisting the church to be self-reliant. He expressed worry that many fuel stations in the country are engaging in unethical practices, but Oluchukwu Oil and Gas station is setting an example to follow.
“I enjoin them to remain exemplary,” Sir Osanakpo said.
Motorists and others who spoke to Trinitas Newspaper described the new station as a plus to the Archbishop’s litany of transformative projects. They stated that the station is already developing the area and rated it as first among equals, especially in the area of quality product delivery.
“They testified that their vehicles and motorcycles hardly develop engine problems because they are always using Oluchukwu Oil and Gas products,” they said.
They also extolled the Archbishop for creating jobs for the teeming youth who are working in the stations.
