Members of the Catholic Men Organization (CMO) at St. Joseph’s the worker Parish Enekwasumpu last Sunday, May 3rd staged a spectacular event to celebrate the 2025 Father’s Sunday. During the event, the organization recognized and honored personalities with prestigious titles such as Mayors and Ekwueme, and presented merit awards to them.
Speaking at the occasion, the Parish Priest, Fr. Chukwueloka Nwachukwu, felicitated fathers and appreciated them for their active participation in the annual event. He urged them to imitate the lifestyle of St. Joseph, the patron saint of the parish, and to embody the spirit of humility and doggedness for which St. Joseph was known.

He prayed that God would continue to bless the fathers and endow them with wisdom to carry out their fatherly roles effectively. The CMO Parish President, Mr. Obinna Mgbemena (Okwulu Oka na Ozubulu), appreciated his fellow fathers for turning out in large numbers to grace the event, describing them as “Iroko trees.”
He charged them not to be afraid of carrying out their family responsibilities, since God who called them to serve as fathers would also provide for them what it takes to run their homes. “In all circumstances and challenges, hold tenaciously to God who has the ultimate power to grant you victory all the time,” he added. “I pray that all of us will gather here next year in good and sound health to celebrate Father’s Sunday in 2026.”
