A Catholic priest Rev Fr Sergius Paul Iberi CSSP last Sunday called on Christians not to lose their faith over earthly challenges and material things.
Fr Iberi who made the call while preaching a Sunday homily expressed worries that some christians have already lost their faith in God because of challenges and quest to acquire material things.
He explained that when one throw away his or her faith just to solve earthly problems, the person has nothing to gain at the last day but to suffer in perpetuity.
” Whoever that consults other gods including marine spirits to solve a problem is creating problem for his children and possibly his generation.”
Some Christians he said are into the habit of turning propagation of the gospel into business venture, emphasizing that such act is repugnant to the teachings of the church.
According to him, any person rendering any service to the church with the sole aim of making money or anticipating material gratification is not a good Christian and the person is far from making heaven.
