Sequel to the degree of hardship hitting Nigeria masses occasioned by recent removal of fuel subsidy and bad leadership, Catholic youth have been called to redouble efforts in saying their rosary frequently for God’s intervention.
The Onitsha Archdiocesan president Block Rosary Crusade Brigade of Guards Capt. Nkem Emmanuel made the call during an event to mark the Onitsha Archdiocesan BRC Brigade day at Holy Cross parish Nkpor.
According to him, the only way to change the narrative about the difficult times Nigeria masses are witnessing is through prayers, charging fellow youth to pick up their rosary and cry to God for mercy. He described BRC Brigade as a voluntary organisation established on July 13, 1976 to assist in providing security to the church, maintaining order during church events, guiding the children at every BRC activities
Also Ifeanyi Okeke ( Commandant) his contribution urged tmembers not to relent in serving God and propagating the gospel through the organization, adding that Brigade offers them good opportunity to win souls for Christ.
Chief patron of the organization Mr Donatus Okey Okpala and another patron Mr Emmanuel Mmaduabuchi in their similar remarks enjoined members to follow the foot steps of our mother Mary and pray without ceasing so as to live a life pleasing to God and transform our immediate society through their exemplary life. They duo also poured encomiums on the Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese Archbishop Valerian Okeke for being a father to them and for his usual magnanimity.
Highlight of the event including launching of their bye law and installation of new patrons.
