The Bishop of Diocese of Aguleri His Lordship Most Rev Denis Isizoh last Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of new St Paul’s seminary Igbariam as the seminary staged a colourful event to celebrate their maiden patron’s feast day last Sunday.
Speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony, Bishop Isizoh expressed joy over the establishment of the new seminary and called on men and women of goodwill to support the project, positing that God will provide no matter the circumstances.
Also speaking at the maiden feast, He commended the rector of the seminary and the staff for showing great commitment toward the running of the seminary, testifying that the impacts of their efforts are reflecting on the performances of the seminarians..
The rector Fr Hilary Nweke in his appreciation thanked Bishop Isizoh for his fatherly role and support towards the seminary. He also thanked the parents of the seminarians for believing in the new seminary, pledging that their children will receive the best academic and moral training every parent wishes for their children. “We are determined to give the young seminarians the best seminary formation.
A parent Mr Valentine Ifechukwudere who chaired the feast, described the event as thing of joy, stating that he was impressed over the performances of the pioneer young seminarians who started their JSS 1 in a couple of months ago.
