The remains of former Financial Secretary of Catholic Men Organisation(CMO),Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity,Onitsha,late Ezinna Morah were during the week laid to rest at his New American Road residence,Onitsha after a burial mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity,Onitsha.
Rector of the Basilica,Very Rev Monsignor Nwokedi Ezumezu who presided over the burial mass described the late Ezinna Onyechi Morah as a parishioner who contributed so much towards the growth of CMO in the Archdiocese pointing out that the Basilica Parish will miss his wealth of experience and good counsel.
Earlier in his homily,the Associate Rector of the Basilica Rev Fr Christonogus Ibemere,described the late Ezinna Morah as a trusted man who while handling the finances of the CMO,displayed honesty,kept transparent records and saved a lot of money for the organisation.
He said that the likes of late Mr Morah was scare to see in the society.
The Presidential candidate of Labour Party,Mr Peter Obi who made a brief appearance at the funeral,condoled with the family,urging them to bear the loss with fortitude.
Obi recollected that he was long connected with the Morah and Nnachetta families from childhood while growing up as a little child at the American Quarters Community,Onitsha and has since maintained the relationship till date.
He described the late Ezinna Morah as a good and exemplary man and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
In his reaction,brother to late Onyechi Morah and former Anambra State Commissioner for Information,Dr Tony Nnachetta,said he will greatly miss his brother,describing him as an honest and straightforward man who was loved by all.
Nnachetta thanked all who made the burial successful particularly the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Parish family,Onitsha.
The traditional ruler of Isseke kingdom,Anambra state,His Royal Majesty,Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife,his wife and other dignitaries also paid tribute at the funeral.
