The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke on Thursday commissioned a block of classrooms attracted by Hon Idu Emeka,the member representing Onitsha North/South federal constituency at the House of Representatives.
The project which is located close to the Holy Trinity Primary School was furnished with new chairs and tables for comfort of the users.
In his remarks before the commissioning, Archbishop Okeke commended Hon Idu Emeka for attracting such project to boost education in his constituency.According to him,it was thoughtful of him(Idu)to attract such a project pointing out that the greatest legacy to beqeat to the young ones is education.


According to the Archbishop,the Archdiocese of Onitsha is putting much effort in it’s schools to excel in all fields of study.
The Archbishop reflected on the many local and international laurels won by the Archdiocesan schools to buttress his point.
“We want our children to be great among their contemporaries and I thank you for what you’ve done for posterity”,the Archbishop concluded.
He invoked God’s blessings on Hon Idu Emeka for attracting the project.
In his remarks,the member representing Onitsha North/South federal constituency,Hon Idu Emeka expressed joy that he attracted the project to his Alma Mater,the Holy Trinity Primary School where he started his education as a child.
He disclosed that some the school projects he erected in other parts of his constituency were set for commissioning.
Present on the ocassion are some priests of the Archdiocese,the headmistress of Holy Trinity Primary School,Mrs Chinwe Onuorah,the former Education Secretary,Onitsha North LGA and CWO Director Dame Dr Ngozi Nwanosike.
School teachers and pupils were also present.
The Onitsha Archdiocesan Financial Administrstor,Rev Fr Philip Ibeneme performed the introductory remarks.
