The Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria,His Excellency,Most Rev.Michael Francis Crotty during the week,visited the permanent site of the Shanahan University,Onitsha to view and also inspect the completed and ongoing projects.
He was accompanied on the visit by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke and some senior members of the clergy.
The Apostolic Nuncio was visibly impressed at the various massive projects nearing completion on the site.
Some of the excited construction workers came out to greet the Nuncio which he appreciated so much.
They posed for photographs with him and the rest of his entourage.
The Nuncio commended Archbishop Valerian Okeke for embarking on such enduring legacy of building a university in memory of the late Bishop Shanahan.
It would be recalled that the Apostolic Nuncio is an Irish national as the late Bishop Shanahan.
