In a recent address, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the values and principles cherished by the Catholic Church. Trump emphasized his administration’s dedication to supporting the Catholic community and promoting its mission and social teachings.
“Now more than ever, our nation needs a renewal of the values that Catholics exemplify in their daily lives,” Trump stated. “As president, I will support your efforts to serve our fellow citizens and uplift all humanity. Every child, born and unborn, is made in the image of God.”
Trump assured that his administration would stand with Catholic charities and healthcare providers, including the Little Sisters of the Poor, offering unwavering support in their mission.
He expressed deep admiration for the Catholic community, acknowledging its contributions to American society since the nation’s founding. He pledged to protect the Catholic Church and uphold the religious freedoms of all individuals, regardless of race, color, or creed.
“From the founding of our Republic, Catholics have enriched our nation beyond measure,” Trump said. “I will protect the Catholic Church and honor the religious beliefs of every person. We love the Catholic community, their faith, and we hold them in the highest respect.”
Following his recent election as the 47th President of the United States, Trump reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the right to life from conception to natural death. He pledged to support Catholic organizations in their continued service to humanity and the American people.
