The Catholic Church has been described as the guide to dependency on God. Reflecting on, ‘Without God You Can Do Nothing,’ on Sunday, 28th April 2024, the Parish Priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Fegge Onitsha, Rev Fr Sampson Ogbuebuna told the faithful that they cannot succeed on their own.
He blamed disorderliness in the society on wrong direction sampling indecent dressing as obedience to the order from hell and glorification of the enemy.“A tree that leaves its root is bound to fall.” The priest asserted. “How do we depend on God? The Church has the answer. By the grace God gives us through directions and teachings of the Church, you and I will remain in God.
If I fail to listen to the direction of the Church I cannot remain in God even as a priest despite my anointing. You cannot do it on your own. You cannot buy it from the market. You cannot get it through human wisdom. I cannot, you cannot, we cannot.”“We face some challenges in life because we follow wrong directions. Instead of following the direction from God, we follow the direction from the world.
Our attitude can keep us far away from God. So, do not do things because others are doing them.“In the past, mad people were identified by how scattered their hair was. They do not comb their hair because evil spirits live there. But now people scatter their hair and call it fashion without knowing the origin.
You join them because you think it is en vogue in the name of youthful exuberance. Many of us adults who are rascal, dressing shabbily follow wrong direction from the pit of hell.”Fr Ogbuebuna summed that the devil injects seeds of sexual embarrassment everywhere to distract the people of God. He asserted that those who dress immodestly bear sour fruits, even as he offered them the opportunity to amend their ways.
