Governor Alex Otti is scheduled to initiate the construction of 41.5 kilometers of roads in Abia North, starting with the 30-kilometer Arochukwu – Ndiokereke – Ozuabam road on Wednesday.
Prince Okey Kanu, the Commissioner for Information, announced this development following the State Executive Council meeting in Umuahia.
In addition to the Arochukwu – Ndiokereke – Ozuabam road, Governor Otti will also launch the construction of the 11.5-kilometer Nunya -Eluama -Isuikwuato road within the next week.
This initiative follows closely on the heels of the recent commencement of reconstruction on the Umuahia -Uzuakoli – Akara road and the Abiriba-Ohafia road, underscoring Governor Otti’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure for economic growth.
Commissioner Kanu emphasized the pivotal role of roads in stimulating economic development, affirming the government’s dedication to ensuring that all roads in the state are in optimal condition to facilitate business activities and overall progress.
