During a courtesy visit from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Bridge Head, Onitsha, the Transition committee Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Mr. Victor Orji, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to eradicating touting and ensuring a free flow of traffic and a clean environment in the area.
He assured residents that his team is dedicated to maintaining order and sanitizing the region, making it a more pleasant and secure place to live and do business.
The TC Chairman stated this while responding to the request made by the DPO Bridge Head Onitsha, CSP Akuchi Blessing, who paid a courtesy visit to Onitsha South Local Government Area Secretariat.
Mr. Orji appreciated the DPO for the visit and promised to put all his requests into consideration.
Earlier in his speech, the DPO Bridge Head, CSP Akuchi Blessing emphasized on the menace of touting, which he said, is ravaging Onitsha Metropolis.
He further stated that touting around the area has made it a sorry site, especially for travelers and those coming into Onitsha Metropolis, thereby suggesting for their relocation.
CSP Akuchi also beckoned on the TC Chairman to visit their station at the Bridge Head, and get a first-hand look at its dilapidated state, with no operational vehicle.
The DPO thanked the TC Chairman for granting them audience.
