Members of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Charismatics Council (CCRN) are redoubling their efforts to ensure that their timeline for completion of the Rectory and landscaping at the Shanahan University compound is not delayed.
The chairman of the CCRN building planning committee,Brother Uche Nweze Ekwunife spoke as he commended members who made contributions towards the project at the just concluded Pentecost 2024 outreach at the Victory Land of the Holy Spirit.
He commended the Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke for his inspirational leadership and vision towards upliftment of humanity with education.
Other activities of the Charismatics during the Pentecost gathering which started on Thursday 8th May (Ascension Feast) featured restoration prayers,setting the captives free and embracing the ultimate power of the Holy Spirit in delivering mankind.
Earlier, chaplain of the CCRN, Archdiocese of Onitsha,Very Rev Fr Sampson Ogbuebuna had welcomed all members who came from far and near for the Pentecost activities.He admonished then that the promises of Christ must be fulfilled in their lives through their journey of faith and frowned at the new wave of paganism threatening the Christian faith.
Also in his contribution,a visiting priest Rev Fr Nwigwe Jude,a priest of Nnewi Diocese emphasised the need for members to continue to embrace the Holy Spirit as it has the enormous powers to dispel all forces of darkness in the lives of Christians.
At the event,newly elected officers in all the parishes were inducted by the chaplain alongside the chairman Bro Peter Nnalue.
Bro Nnalue in a remark admonished the newly inducted officers not to fail the church by allowing non conformists to take control of activities in the Archdiocese.
