The Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke last Sunday advised faithful to avoid sin since every sin one committed has a consequence.
The Chief Shepherd gave the advice while delivering a Homily during His pastoral to St John’s parish Ogbakuba.
Sin, he said is evil and can attract punishment and destruction to someone’s life or even to a community and nation.
As Christians let us shun sin and live a life pleasing to God. ” Live your life with faith and never be afraid of any other god
except the Almighty God. If you have faith, you will have life. In your journey of life, accept any suffering that comes your with faith in God and at the end it will bring a blessing.”
The prelate also reminded faithful that God’s mercy is forgiving, transformative and doesn’t end, urging christians to always forgive those that wronged them without conditions. “Forgive others the way God forgives you. Also, the love of God forgives, revives, strengths. Extent that love of Christ to your neighbours”.
