During a recent ceremony at Marist Comprehensive College, Nteje, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, the Catholic Bishop of Aguleri Diocese, Most Reverend Denis Isizoh, administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 267 faithful.
In his homily, Bishop Isizoh emphasized the importance of unity and virtue among Christians, urging them to shun vices and work towards building a harmonious community.
The faithful, comprise one hundred and forty-two male students and one hundred and twenty-five female students, who received the sacrament during a Pontifical High Mass at the college chapel.
The Bishop charged the faithful to always hold on to the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit by jettisoning vices capable of marring their future.
He listed unity and one love as qualities of the Holy Trinity, asking them to be generous and show that perfect love that exists between the Trinity to their fellow humans.
While urging them to be of good behavior, respect constituted authority and take their studies seriously.
The College Chaplain, Reverend Father Vitalis Ifeka, who thanked Bishop Isizoh, for the visit, tasked parents on monitoring their children closely.
Some of the faithful, including Master Kamsiyochukwu Ezeh, Miss Nicole Ayaborsi and Little Master Somunachimnyi Ezeh, said that the pains of the rigorous catechism classes have yielded unquantifiable result.
