The legislator representing Onitsha South 1 Constituency in Anambra State house of assembly Hon Fredrick Ezenwa on Wednesday, described the Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke as an embodiment of wisdom and knowledge personified.
The house member made the description while hailing Archbishop Okeke on His 22nd Episcopal anniversary.
According, Archbishop Okeke Episcopacy has brought a great positive change in Onitsha Archdiocese, stating that he has moved the great Archdiocese to an enviable height. ” Archbishop Okeke has brought the church to the door steps of the people to the extent that you can access the church within few minutes from your home and that was part of his mission when he assumed office as the chief Shepherd.
Outside the spiritual growth, Archbishop Okeke has transformed our society through establishment of radio sapientia, which is now a house hold name. Out youth lived in Holy family youth village during their studies are now agents of change in our society and Shanahan University which is about to commence academic activities will produce quality graduates who will turn our country into a great manufacturing nation”.
The legislator further urged the priests and lay faithful of the Archdiocese to always listen to the Archbishop and follow his foot print, positing that he has led the church well.
Hon . Ezenwa on the other hand enjoined the people of his Constituency to keep hope alive and expect better representation from him, promising to make tremendous difference in the society through his quality representation.
“My Constituency has already started witnessing the impact of my representation because the evidence of that speaks for itself. I am there to transform and assist the humanity and that is why I started fighting for the condition of inmates of the correctional centers in Anambra situated in Onitsha, Awka Ekwulobia through the bill I sponsored at the state house of assembly”.
Speaking on the hardship rocking the Nigeria masses, he advised the citizens of the country to pray and trust in God who has the power to turn things around for His people.
