Over 100 candidates confirmed

Staff and students of St Kizito secondary school Umudioka were in joyful mood last Saturday May 18, 2024 when the proprietor of the college His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke paid a pastoral visit to the college
The spectacular event witnessed confirmation of over 100 students.
In his Homily, Archbishop Okeke urged students to embrace the culture of excellence by having a dream, setting plan to achieve it, projecting it , practicalizing it with perseverance and backing it up with prayers. He made it clear that any student who wants to have 9 or 8 A in WEAC or NECO must start on time to dream and follow the stipulated steps mentioned earlier to achieve it.




He charged the students to target getting more A , lesser B and avoid C in their results both in external and internal examinations. His words, “Strive to have 9 A in your external examination and as well score 350 and above in your JAMB as such excellent results will give you the unique opportunity to bag scholarship in Shanahan University and well you will be at liberty to study a course of your desire or choice in any University. In other words bear witness to the culture of excellence your school is known for by performing excellently in your academics “
Appreciating Archbishop Okeke for the visit, the manager of the School,Rev Fr Damian Ojukwu who expressed satisfaction, extolled the Archbishop for finding out time,to come upon his busy schedules, positing that his visit will help to inspire and boost his students, spiritually, morally and physically .
Father Ojukwu later advised the students to study hard in order to maintain the excellence for which the school is known for and equally made their parents and school proud.
In their welcome address presented by the Senior Prefect, Amobichukwu Winifred,the school rained accolades on Archbishop Okeke for all his love showing to both teachers and workers, saying it has been tremendous, especially for have rolled out a new salary structure for the workers which is set to take effect this month of May, which according to the management has cushioned the effect of the factor of push and pull that would have seriously affected their academic activities.
The school used the medium to applaud the State Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo for his developmental strides in the State especially as it’s concerns education. They however stated that recruitment of teachers into public school alone is win-lose situation, because according to the management , taking a PTA teacher in a Public- Mission school into a Public school will assuage the hunger in one and create a yawning gappy situation for the other, maintained that they would have loved a situation were a PTA teacher in a public- mission is employed and regularized in the same school while the teeming unemployed teachers are recruited and send to different schools that are in need.
In there separate interviews ,some of Parents to include,Mr Greham Amobi and Mrs Chioma Odenigbo said they sent their Children to Kizito Secondary School because they are doing marvelously well in both academic and moral, noting that a student trained here is always the best and always distinguished themselves from others.
Expressing their Joy’s,two of candidates who received the sacrament of confirmation,Miss Uche Otuchukwu and Sotochukwu Muoghari promised to be rooted in things of God and to say no to sins.
The event featured presentation of address, homage to Archbishop, thanksgiving, Prayers , Special rendition by School Choir and cultural display among others.
