Earlier while delivering a homily in a Holy Mass before the award ceremony, the Onitsha Metropolitan Chaplain of the Knights of St Mulumba,Very Rev Fr Dr George Adimike, charged the awardees to ensure that the awards they would receive will serve as a “Sacrament of Reward” in their lives and not a superficial endowment.
He admonished the recipients to cultivate virtues of charity and kindness and flee from wickedness against fellow beings.Fr Adimike illustrated his homily with the words of Prophet Micah in 1 Micah 2:1-5 where the Prophet condemned wickedness saying,”Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil upon their beds, when the morning dawns, they perform it because it is in the power of their hand..”
He commended the leadership of the LSM,Onitsha Metropolitan Council for the awards and their works of charity.Fr Adimike concelebrated the Holy Mass with the KSM Supreme Chaplain Rev Fr Paschal-Paul Okeke(Chief Celebrant)and Rev Fr Patrick Egwuatu.
