He pledged 100 full scholarships and 400 partial scholarships for serious and deserving students. The Vice Chancellor of Onitsha Archdiocese and Shanahan University Project Director, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Basil Ekwunife, echoed this sentiment. He assured that the university, set to begin operations in October 2024, has received all necessary approvals and licenses to function as a full-fledged institution. Fr. Ekwunife emphasized that Shanahan University would provide a stable academic environment where students can complete their degrees on time, free from the disruptions that plague many Nigerian universities. Recognizing the need for high-quality education that is both affordable and accessible, he has invested in training priests abroad to impart the knowledge and skills they have acquired to the university’s students.
