The Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke on Wednesday enjoined Christians to strive to become Saints at the end of our earthly journey.
The prelate gave the advise while preaching a Homily during All Saints feast day celebrated at All Hallows Seminary Onitsha.
According to him, to become a saint is very much possible in our days. “If you you want to be a saint, always stand on the truth nomatter the pressure or circumstances you may find your self in. Don’t consult fortune tellers In times of challenges rather, embrace God. If you mistakenly commits sin, correct your self and go to confession. Don’t allow your self to be corrected three time over a particular sin”.
He made it clear that those who are saints in heaven are not Angels but humans like us who faced similar challenges but attained Sainthood. ” Always listen and obey the spirit of God in your life and don’t allow your self to be repeating a particular mistake when the good spirit tells you no and by doing so, you are already on the way to sainthood “.
