It was a colourful and spectacular occasion at Joseph’ parish Onitsha recently when the director of Music, Archdiocese of Onitsha Rev Fr Dr. Jude Orakwe celebrated his silver jubilee( 25 years) of his priestly anniversary.
The event attracted the presence of the Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, Bishop of Aguleri Diocese His Lordship Most Rev Denis Isizoh, dozens of priests, the religious and large number of guests.
Archbishop Val Okeke who was represented by the Episcopal Vicar Onitsha region Very Rev.Fr. JohnBosco Okafor in his congratulatory message, extolled the celebrant over his sincere dedication to his call to the priesthood and his impeccable contributions to Onitsha Archdiocesan music department, urging him not to relent.
Also, Bishop Isizoh who presided over the silver jubilee Mass, fecilitated the jubilarian. describing him as priest who is committed to his priestly assignment.
Guests who spoke to Trinitas correspondent while fecilitating the celebrant, described him as an oracle of music.
The celebrant Fr Orakwe in his remarks expressed great joy for the special grace to serve in the Lord’s vineyard for the past twenty five years. He noted that Jubilee is a time of thanksgiving, stating that he cannot thank God enough for granting him the grace to respond to the priestly call notwithstanding his weaknesses, positing that the celebration has energized and renewed him spiritually to continue winning souls for Christ.
He appreciated Archbishop Okeke, Bishop Isizoh, brother priests, parishioners and guests for gracing the occasion, asserting that their outpouring of emotions, support and prayers is highly appreciated.
