Christians have been advised to shun any knd of behaviour that may constitute abusing of God’s power.
The Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke gave the advice during his Homily at St Mary’s parish Ochuche last Sunday.
According to him, the power of God in us is a gift to do good works and transform our society and not to abuse it or use it against others. “The power of God in us is a special gift we should not toy with or
being selfish over it. Also, dont be ignorant of God’s power. Strive to encounter Christ and when that happens, you may not have any other place to go than being in Christ.
The prelate further emphasized the need to focus on Christ and never loose grip of Him because He is the ultimate source of our faith and strength, adding that once we lack focus on Him, we will begin to sink in the sea of life.
The sea of life he explained could be earthly challenges such as loosing a dear one to cold hand of death, childlessness, illness, hardship etc, reiterating that once we remain focused on Christ no earthly challenge can conquer us.
