The Parish Priest of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Samaru Zaria. Rev. Fr. Dr. Julian Ibe has solicited prayers of invocation of the blessings of God upon Nigeria. He explained that when the land of a particular place is yielding the expected fruits, it will enhance the personal efforts of its inhabitants.
Adding that politics and leadership also affect the progress of a particular place, he cited Nigeria, as one of such places that is in dire need of God’s intervention and blessings.
“Politics affects a lot of things.” Fr. Ibe oriented. “If you do not have good leaders, your personal effort will be affected. Yes, your personal effort can yield results but it will not yield the expected results. That is why it is important that the land is blessed by God. Sometimes you wonder why Nigeria is the way it is. If you do not pray for Nigeria, the devil will take over. So, it is important to dedicate our land to God and that is why we must continue praying for Nigeria. Keep praying for where you are.”
Fr. Ibe compared the dividends of hard work in Nigeria with those of some other countries and summed that hard work pays more in many other countries than in Nigeria, because there is a problem in Nigeria. He dedicated Nigeria, Kaduna State and Zaria to God, praying Him to establish the land.
