Hon. Jude Ifeanyi Umennajiego, the Anambra State House member representing Onitsha South 11, has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to peacefully end the sit-at-home order in Anambra by addressing the underlying issues. He emphasized that the government should ensure adequate security to alleviate the fear that’s scaring traders away from resuming businesses on Mondays.
Umennajiego also urged the government to reconsider its stance on Nnamdi Kanu’s situation, which was the root cause of the prolonged sit-at-home, and address the marginalization faced by the South East region. He believes resolving these issues will naturally lead to the end of the sit-at-home order.
Additionally, Umennajiego who described himself as a village boy encouraged Igbo people to prepare for the 2027 general election and use their votes to bring about change.
