The celebration, which took place at SS John and Paul Parish, Iba Pope Awada, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, attracted a large gathering of the faithful.
The occasion was spiced with soul-lifting ministrations from popular gospel artistes such as Evangelist Onyeka Obiezu, widely known as “Onye Amuma,” Sister Chioma Ezefete, Igwe White, Ada Zion, and Akams.
Delivering the keynote speech, the Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Prudentius Emeka Aroh, reflected on St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians (4:4-6), stressing that every true Christian must recognize the oneness of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
He explained that five fundamental pillars of Christian faith are rooted in God, the Son, the Woman, the Spirit, and Abba Father.
Fr. Aroh described the Blessed Virgin Mary as the pure Mother of God, specially endowed with divine grace and unique virtues. He explained that God bestowed on her seven remarkable qualities, which he listed as paragon of beauty and elegance, epitome of grace, the most blessed of creatures, immaculate, perpetual virginity, Mother General, and incorruptibility.
In line with the spirit of the occasion, the Faithspiration Initiative empowered ten individuals with ₦200,000 each, amounting to ₦2 million. The spiritual leader of the group, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike, explained that empowerment is one of the “3Es” of the Initiative’s philosophy, alongside Evangelism and Entertainment.
He revealed that the empowerment fund was donated by Chief Sir Clement Onyekwere (KSM), while other benefactors including Mr. Emeka Esotu, Sir Paul Chukwuma, and Lucky Adimike supported the celebration with ₦1 million each.
Fr. Adimike expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the programme, including Mrs. Chinwe Ezedoora, Mrs. Herrietha Ozoigbo, and Mrs. Monica Chukwudebelu, who baked a special birthday cake in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
He noted that the celebration was not just a spiritual gathering but also an opportunity to touch lives, uplift the poor, and share the love of Christ.
