The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon recorded a commanding 86-65 victory over the reigning champions, Tunisia to start their FIBA AfroBasket 2025 campaign.
It was the second group game at the Pavilhao Multiusos de Luanda, Angola on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
The game began with Cameroon taking the first quarter 28-18.
Tunisia fought back in the second quarter, outscoring Cameroon 24-23, but the Lions held a slim lead at the break.
Cameroon regained momentum in the third quarter with a 21-17 advantage.
They sealed the game in the fourth with a decisive 14-6 run, for a 21-point blowout win.
The win against Tunisia takes Cameroon to the top of Group B, which also includes Nigeria and Madagascar.
Nigeria blew out Madagascar in the other group game, and now only two games left for a knockout spot.
Leading the charge for Cameroon was Williams Narace, who delivered 20 points and 6 rebounds.
The Lions also boasted performances from NBA star Yves Missi, who contributed 12 points and 4 rebounds, and Jeremiah Hill, who added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
