The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has declared onslaught against the perpetrators of the cult-related killings at Nibo, Awka South local government area.
Governor Soludo made the declaration when he visited the location where the unfortunate incident happened at Nibo.
Addressing market people at Nibo, the Governor consoled the family and assured them of their security and welfare as they go about their lawful activities.
Governor Soludo stressed that the entire state is grieving the loss of lives as a result of the killing, assuring that the perpetrators will be fished out and made to embrace the full wrath of the law.
The Governor was also on his routine Monday-check around the state, to make sure that people going about their normal businesses against the “Monday sit at home directive” issued by non-state actors.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Government says it is aware of the deaths that resulted from alleged cult-related killings that occurred in Nibo, Awka South local government area yesterday, October twentieth, 2024.
According to a press statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, it was another instance of violent crimes linked to cults that have occurred recently, and the state government is determined to put an end to it.
The statement noted that the government sympathises with the families of the deceased and assures them that the government will get to the roots of the incident and bring the perpetrators to book and appealed to members of the public to avail it of any useful information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators, while assuring them of confidentiality and a handsome reward.
