Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has advised Victor Osimhen to consider joining Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, despite interest from Chelsea.
After four successful years at Napoli, the 25-year-old striker is poised to leave the club, having gained global recognition for his outstanding performances.
Osimhen has scored 76 goals and provided 18 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli, attracting interest from top European clubs.
PSG, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Al Ahli are leading the race to sign him, but no deal has been finalized. Al Ahli, like many Saudi Arabian clubs, is hoping to lure Osimhen with a lucrative offer.

Although a move to a European club would allow the Super Eagles star to compete at the highest level, Ideye, a member of Nigeria’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad, has advised Osimhen to prioritize financial security and join Al Ahli.
“If I’m him(Osimhen), I will go to Saudi, play two years, then go back to Europe. He’s still young,” Ideye said on his X page.
“Some players are doing that, I don’t know why his agent doesn’t want to allow him to take a pay cut and play in his dream club Chelsea, I think it’s more than we read online.
“You can’t feed your family with trophy, we all played football because that’s the only way out of the hood, we want to have all the good things in life and take care of our family.
Meanwhile, Osimhen, has been offered a stunning €120million contract to join Al Ahli.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Saudi Arabian club are willing to pay Osimhen an annual salary of €30million for four years.
It is believed that negotiations are on between the two parties.
Officials from Al Ahli are expected to fly into Europe to meet with Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, this week.
If the player agrees to the deal, the two clubs will try to agree on the transfer fee.
The summer window is set to close by midnight on August 31 across Europe but the transfer window is open in Saudi Arabia until October 6.
