Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, will today provide financial assistance, covering school fees, to over 223 students from Anambra Central studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
This initiative fulfills the campaign promises of the education-focused senator, who views educational opportunities as the most effective means of human capacity development and empowerment. The beneficiaries of this scholarship program are first-year students, selected for their academic excellence and financial need, from various communities within the seven Local Government Areas in Anambra Central.
The Anambra Central Scholarship Programme, however, is separate from the long-standing Victor Umeh Education Foundation (VUMEF), which has been supporting education for over 17 years.
