The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State marked a significant milestone on Saturday as Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Senator Uche Ekwunife, along with their supporters, officially joined the party. This event, hosted by the Anambra APC, represents Senator Ubah’s first visit to the party fold since his October 12, 2023, decision to join the APC.
During the formal welcome, the state chairman of the APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, and Senator Andy Ubah expressed gratitude to the new entrants for choosing to align with the APC. Ejidike praised the leadership qualities of President Bola Tinubu and urged other party members to exhibit increased commitment.
Ejidike spoke optimistically about the prospect of the APC securing victory in Anambra State in 2025 with the support of the new members. He emphasized the need for unity within the party to achieve this goal and encouraged the the new entrants to maintain their positive humanitarian spirits while serving the party.
In his acceptance speech, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah declared an end to the wait for the APC to take over Anambra. He asserted that the party would no longer remain silent on issues affecting the state and expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to bring positive change. Senator Ubah welcomed debates on crucial matters and affirmed his readiness to contribute to the development of Anambra.
Senator Uche Ekwunife, in her reaction, expressed gratitude to the APC party faithful for embracing them and committed to contributing to the party’s growth in the state. She urged fellow party members to support efforts to propel the APC forward in Anambra and connect the party to the center.
Other party members expressed joy at welcoming individuals with such notable pedigrees into the APC. While appreciating their entrance into the party, members emphasized the importance of diligence in promoting internal harmony for the overall success of the party in the state.
