Regina Pacis International Secondary School, Onitsha, has emerged as the champion of the 2025 National Schools Tax Debate Competition in Anambra State. The contest, organized by the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT), Anambra State Chapter, showcased the best young debaters from across the state.
Among the standout performers was Ngagu Pascaline, who earned the prestigious title of Best Speaker of the Day. She will now advance to the national stage in Abuja, representing Anambra State alongside the second-best speaker from another institution.
The debate, which took place at Onitsha Business School in GRA, Onitsha, centered on the topic: “Increase in Value Added Tax Rate is Beneficial to the Economy.” Regina Pacis students impressed the judges with their articulate arguments, confidence, and thorough understanding of economic principles.
