The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Anambra State Council, in conjunction with the Trade Union Congress (TUC), recently in Awka, the Anambra State Capital, held a One-Day Awareness Workshop on Contributory Pension Scheme.
Presenting a letter jointly signed by the State Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Humphrey Nwafor, KSJI; the Chairman of TUC, Comrade Chris Ogbonna; NLC State Secretary, Comrade Gaius Chukwuka, JP; and TUC State Secretary, Barrister Alex Ebi, JP; Comrade Nwafor noted that the workshop was organized to enlighten their members on the benefits, processes and obligations related to the Contributory Pension Scheme.
‘It is crucial for all affiliates to be adequately informed about the scheme as it directly impacts the financial security of our members. All affiliates are strongly encouraged to follow this workshop’s directive and disseminate the information to their members.
‘Your participation here today is vital in ensuring that the objectives of this workshop are achieved. For further inquiries or additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the NLC/TUC Secretariat, Anambra State Council. Thank you for your usual cooperation,’ the letter read.
The State Chairman of the National Union of Market Traders Employers of Nigeria (NUMTEN), Anambra State Council, Comrade Nnamsom Nwafor-Orizu; the Secretary of NUMTEN, Anambra State Council, Amb. Ikechukwu Ugwuoke; and other Union leaders, attended the workshop.
