The Director of St Malachy’s Academy Pambegua, Catholic Diocese of Zaria, Rev. Fr. Patrick Bako Zichyiang has called on Catholics to participate actively in the Mission of Christ through the activities of the Church. Making this call at the Good Shepherd Parish, Graceland Zaria on Mission Sunday, October 20, 2024, the priest assured them that Jesus cannot mislead them.
He said, “As we have been called to commune with Jesus, we are called to make sacrifices. By communion, you have been called to active participation in this mission. For your faith to save you, you must participate actively through prayer, generosity, reconciliation, peace, understanding, and love.”
“Jesus is inviting us to the Eucharist. What is stopping you from receiving Jesus in the Eucharist? To every invitation there is an implication. Jesus is the One sending the apostle to invite others. We too are sent to invite others. It is a call to communion. Together we can be saved.”
Fr. Zichyiang tasked them to thank God for His generosity in their lives and to take themselves to the House of God where they will find favour.
