The Parish Priest of Madonna Parish Nnobi and the Episcopal Vicar of Nnobi Region, Very Rev. Fr. Victor Ezeanya, on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, urged Christians in Nigeria to remain steadfast in their faith and keep hope alive despite the hardships currently afflicting the masses.
Fr. Ezeanya made this call during the 2025 Chrism Mass held at Nnobi Region. According to him, Christians should not lose their faith in God because of difficult times. Instead, they should hold tenaciously to their faith, trusting that God will intervene at His appointed time.
“Those who wait on the Lord will smile at the end of the day,” Fr. Ezeanya said, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and trust in God’s sovereignty.
The cleric’s words of encouragement came at a time when many Nigerians are struggling with economic hardship, insecurity, and other challenges. Fr. Ezeanya ‘s message was a call to hope and resilience, reminding Christians that their faith should not be shaken by temporary difficulties.
As Christians, Fr. Ezeanya said, we must learn to trust in God’s goodness and sovereignty, even when circumstances seem bleak. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Fr. Ezeanya ‘s message was a timely reminder to Christians in Nigeria and beyond to hold fast to their faith and keep hope alive, even in the face of hardship and uncertainty.
Fr Ezeanya on the other hand, appreciated Catholic faithful in Nnobi region for coming out in their large numbers to support His Grace Archbishop Valerian Okeke describing cathedralticum as an opportunity to appreciate the Chief Shepherd and the church for the uncountless blessings and favours God is pouring on His people through His church and His priests.
