The Anambra state governor His Excellency Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo last Sunday eulogized the Archbishop of Onitsha His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke for promoting ecumenism in Anambra state.
The governor who spoke through his representative Dr Mrs Vera Nwadinobi ( Executive Chairman ASUPEB) during a function at Onitsha stated that Archbishop Okeke has demonstrated high level of ecumenical spirit which could be seen in most of the recent functions that have taken place in Onitsha Archdiocese.
Mr governor disclosed that Archbishop Okeke is carrying religious leaders along irrespective of their denominations and affiliations, an action that is fostering peace and creating way for sustainable development and peace in the state.
He maintained that any socity ecumenism works, the spirit of brotherliness would be enthroned and at the same time, a remarkable progress, development, peace and love become the features of such society, positing Anambra state can comfortably boost about these features now.
