It was indeed Christianity in action and real corporal work of mercy when Faithspiration Foundation stormed St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Ogbozalla Opi-Agu in Nsukka LGA, Enugu State in continuation to their Charity outreach.

It would be recalled that Faithspiration Foundation on September 8, 2023 during commemoration of Blessed Virgin Mary’s birthday officially commenced Charity outreach in which they shared various food items and cash to poor and less privileged ones within Onitsha metropolis, Nkpor, Obosi and numerous street beggars.

It was also at the event that the founder of Faithspiration, Rev. Fr. Dr. George Admike disclosed that the outreach would be a continuous exercise, adding that it would not end in urban areas, but would equally spann to rural dwellers which he mentioned Ogbaru in Anambra State, Nsukka in Enugu State, Cameroon and Tanzania.

According to Fr. George, ” He said that Faithspiration is a platform he established to inspire people so that they would recover their faith.

He added that the Foundation is also a project he began to reach out to the wider society after obtaining a PhD certificate.

However, Ogbozalla Opi-Agu Community both Catholic, pagan and other denomination Churches already converged en masse through the side of Parish Priest of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Opi-Agu, Rev. Fr. Dennis Tochukwu Alumona.

Meanwhile, the Community on sighting Fr. George and Faithspiration group, all of them turned choristers, singing and praising God, acknowledging familiarity with Fr. George as one who had been visiting their Community on regular basis with goodies.

Addressing the community, Rev. Fr. Dr. George Admike admonished them that the love of Jesus Christ prompted him and his group to visit them. He praised them immensely for coming out en masse.

He said that Nsukka is like his home, saying that he has numerous Nsukka indigenes as his friends. He apologized to them for his inability to visit them for some time, stating that due to exigency of work as the confidential Secretary to Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke he was unable to create a chance to visit them.

He, however, reminded them that Virgin Mary celebrated her Birthday on September 8,2023, explaining that they shared both cooked rice and raw one and other food items including cash to the less privileged ones in urban areas.

He said that they decided to extend the visit to them, regretting that they would have come with cooked rice but their plans failed. He said, ” Opi-Agu is my second place. So, we decided to remember you people today. We don’t have much to give you people, but only for us to set our foot here is a great thing.

Our coming here is not for carnival or tourism purposes, it is for the love of Christ. You people are our brothers and sisters in Christ. We believe that when we come here, God would be happy because He is the one who inspired us to visit you people.

What we need from you people is to be attending Churches. Those who go to Church don’t feel ashamed. When God wants to remember you, it will be like a miracle. Do not abandon God . Go to Church every Sunday, it shall be well with all of you” Said Fr. George.

Also speaking, a member of the Matters of St. Joseph congregation, Rev. Sis. Stella Chioma Nnadi, indigene of Nsukka through her local dilet encouraged those who are pagans to desist from idiol worshipping and begin to attend Church.

She told them that Fr. George would do more things for them, eulogizing Fr. George for his benevolence act.

Similarly, a member of Faithspiration foundation, Rev. Fr. Patrick Okigbo noted that Fr. George has demonstrated good Samaritan to the Community, urging them to extend the same to others.

Appreciating his guests, the Parish Priest of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Opi-Agu, Rev. Fr. Dennis Tochukwu Alumona praised Fr. George, who he said had built a bungalow for his parishioner, described him as a philanthropist and faithful priest.

The cleric also testified that both Catholic worshippers, pagans and other denomination Churches benefitted from materials ranging from Rice, Biscuits, canny minerals, cash amongst others.
