President Trump issued an Easter message reaffirming his commitment to defending the Christian faith.
In a Palm Sunday statement, he described Jesus Christ as the “living Son of God” who overcame death and offered salvation.
He pledged his administration’s continued support for Christian beliefs in various sectors of American life, including schools, the military, and government.
The statement follows Trump’s previously expressed faith, strengthened after a reported assassination attempt last year.
Separately, the White House recently replaced a portrait of Barack Obama with a painting depicting the alleged assassination attempt on Trump.
