Concerned about the growing trend of youth embracing paganism, Mrs. Chinenye Adibe, Parish President of the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) at All Saints Parish, Nkpor, on Sunday, November 10th, urged fellow mothers to champion the faith battle.
Mrs. Adibe emphasized that mothers have significant influence over their children due to their nurturing roles. She advised mothers to utilize this influence to discourage their children from engaging in fetish practices.
“Be a role model to your children and lead by example as a good Christian,” Mrs. Adibe said. “Influence their spirituality by being serious about your faith. Teach them that there’s no other way to follow outside the Catholic Church.”
She encouraged mothers to live a life worthy of emulation, be humble, peaceful, charitable, and compassionate, and persevere in prayer.
“This will show your children that problems can be solved through hard work, perseverance, and prayer, not by consulting false gods or engaging in fetish practices,” Mrs. Adibe emphasized.
She lamented the increasing rate of paganism among youths, saying, “It’s heartbreaking to see some of our youth embracing paganism. I pray God opens their hearts, giving them the grace to return to their senses and realize that God is the way, life, and truth.”
